The Holocaust was the systematic genocide of millions of people (primarily Jews) by Nazi Germany. People were rounded up and sent to concentration camps (e.g. Auschwitz and Dachau). At the camps, most were killed by poison gas, though mass shootings and other method were used. The bodies were then burned in ovens. Many died from starvation and disease as well.
